Youth Forum

Following the e-mail sent by Colin Major to all Club Youth sections regarding “Bridging, Latching & Squeezeball” several clubs and indeed referees have responded requesting clarification and guidance. The Youth Forum has been arranged specifically to address these concerns and all referees who handle Youth fixtures are invited to attend. Apologies for the late notice but the availability of venue, speakers and Easter would have meant a month delay in responding to the issues.

Provisional guest speakers include:

Alan Biggs – Midlands Referee Development Officer
Alan Hubbleday – Rugby Development Officer
Colin Major – North Midlands Youth & RFU Laws Committee
Ray Jones – North Midlands Referee Development Officer

The event will include presentations on the laws of the rucking game, Youth variations and safety plus coaching guidance including demonstrations. There will be a session where delegates can “Ask the Panel” of experts and we expect a constructive exchange of views!

There is likely to be a high demand for attendance and advance booking is essential because we intend to put on a light buffet after the event at 9 pm. To reserve a place please e-mail PETER EVANS or ring him on 07768 405539
